History at Leeds Castle
As part of their history learning, Form 2 visited Leeds Castle, and took part in a drama workshop. They were each given a role, from King William I to Lady Badlesmere, Henry VIII to Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson. With fabulous costumes and storytelling, the children played out the history of nearly 1000 years of Leeds Castle and its occupants. The class were amazed by the size of the castle, the secret passageways and the wonderful parties which would have been held there. After enjoying lunch in front of the beautiful lakes and views, the children all had a well-deserved play in the huge fort and playground.
Thank you to everyone at Leeds Castle for helping to make their visit so interesting and enjoyable.
